Operation

To assist schools in learning from the successes of sustainable schools in operation (and what they would do differently next time), Independent Schools Victoria has established a Sustainable Schools Network.

Simple Audit and Tracking tools for school energy and water consumption were prepared by Sustainability Victoria in 2004 and included in their Save Energy @ School CD Rom. This also included useful information sheets on different sustainability systems and an energy management guide. Some of these tools and guides are available for download below.

Independent Schools Victoria has also developed a template which can be used by schools to assist in developing an Energy Management Program. Refer to refer to Independent Schools Victoria Guideline 4: Establishing an Energy Saving Program for further guidance.
