Research
Independent Schools Victoria is committed to quality research to support Member Schools, the independent school sector in Victoria and the national and international educational community. Independent Schools Victoria initiates and conducts research programs, brokers research on behalf of the sector, and brings together schools, universities and other strategic partners to further its research agenda.
L E A D Report
First piloted in 2008, the L E A D Report assesses school performance in the key elements of effective schooling. The L E A D Report takes the Harvard ‘balanced scorecard’ approach where traditional measures of performance are supplemented by stakeholder responses.
L E A D assesses school performance against research and evidence-based indicators of high performing schools by combining objective data and perceptions in the one chart. The resulting assessment is benchmarked against the Victorian Independent sector average.
Independent Schools Victoria Staff Satisfaction Survey Tool
Up until 2010 ISV used the ISV Staff Satisfaction Survey Tool which was based on the School Organisational Health Questionnaire owned by Insight SRC Pty Ltd, which is used in a wide range of educational settings and based on extensive research.
ISV has now developed a new survey tool and no longer uses the Insight SRC based tool. If members wish to use the School Organisational Health Questionnaire they should do so only after obtaining permission from Dr Peter Hart at Insight SRC Pty Ltd (hart@insightsrc.com.au).
